Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using Molesweeper.app, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site. If you use the site on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
You must be legally able to accept these terms in your location. A parent or guardian should supervise use by anyone who cannot form a binding agreement on their own.
What Molesweeper provides
Molesweeper is a free browser-based logic game with supporting rules, strategy guidance, level information, privacy controls, and contact pages. The current game contains twenty shaped boards, local progress storage, optional sound and haptics, and offline caching on supported browsers.
The service does not include a user account, cloud backup, prize, cash reward, marketplace, or promise of uninterrupted access. Descriptions on guide pages refer to the current build and may change when the game is updated.
Permitted and prohibited use
You may use the site for personal entertainment, learning, accessibility evaluation, and ordinary linking or discussion. You may share a normal link to a public page and may take reasonable screenshots for commentary, reviews, or help requests, subject to applicable law.
You may not:
- interfere with the service, attempt to bypass security controls, introduce malware, or overload the site through abusive automated traffic;
- use bots or scripts to generate fraudulent advertising impressions, clicks, analytics activity, or misleading engagement;
- copy, repackage, frame, or redistribute the complete game or its visual assets as your own product without permission;
- remove ownership notices, misrepresent affiliation, impersonate the project, or use the site for phishing or other deceptive conduct;
- submit unlawful, threatening, infringing, or privacy-invasive material through the contact channel; or
- use the site in a way that violates law or the rights of another person.
Automated search-engine crawling that respects published crawler rules and normal browser caching are not prohibited by this section.
Game, content, and brand ownership
The Molesweeper website code, game presentation, original mascot and garden assets, written guides, interface, and site branding are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws unless a specific component states otherwise. Access to the site does not transfer ownership or grant a license to publish a competing copy.
“Minesweeper” is used descriptively for the familiar adjacent-number puzzle format. Molesweeper.app refers to the independent browser experience hosted on this domain and does not claim affiliation with other developers, publishers, stores, or similarly named games.
If you believe material on the site infringes your rights, follow the notice guidance on the contact page. A notice should identify the protected work, the exact site URL, your authority, and the requested action.
Third-party providers and links
The site relies on third-party infrastructure and may link to third-party policies or tools. Cloudflare provides hosting, delivery, and security. Google Analytics may be loaded after consent. If advertising is introduced later, advertising providers may supply separate technology and terms.
External websites are controlled by their operators. A link does not mean Molesweeper endorses every statement, product, or privacy practice on the destination. Review the destination’s own terms before using it.
Progress, updates, and availability
Game progress is stored in your browser and can be removed by private-browsing behavior, storage settings, device changes, browser cleanup, or technical failure. Molesweeper does not guarantee recovery or synchronization of local progress.
The game, board layouts, rules, guide text, URLs, or service providers may be changed, suspended, or discontinued. Reasonable efforts may be made to keep the public site functional, but maintenance, network failures, security events, and provider outages can interrupt access.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the site is provided “as is” and “as available.” Molesweeper makes no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every device, or suitable for a particular purpose. Strategy content is provided for this game build and is not professional, medical, legal, or financial advice.
Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. If your local law gives you mandatory rights, those rights continue to apply.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Molesweeper and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss; loss of data or local game progress; loss caused by third-party services; or damage arising from misuse of the site. Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the minimum amount permitted by applicable law.
You are responsible for using a supported browser, maintaining your device, protecting access to your email account, and deciding whether to clear local site data.
Enforcement and changes
Access may be limited when reasonably necessary to protect the service, respond to abuse, or comply with law. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective to the extent permitted. A failure to enforce a term immediately is not a permanent waiver.
These terms may be revised as the service changes. The effective date will be updated, and continued use after a revision means you accept the revised terms where legally permitted. Material changes will be presented with appropriate notice when required.
